Hello! My name is Catherine Hammond. Currently, I am working towards my Doctorate in Public Health Education (expected Fall 2028) from the American College of Education (ACE). I received my M. Ed. in Instructional Design (ID) and Technology from ACE in Spring 2023.
I have Instructional Design experience in:
Drafting course materials (guides, tests, textbooks, job aids, visual presentations for courses)
Applying appropriate ID tools:
Learning Management Systems (Captivate, Articulate, Canvas), creating surveys (Microsoft and Google forms, SurveyMonkey), knowledge of design and presentation software (Canva, Prezi, PowerPoint)
ID models (ASSURE, ADDIE, Rapid, Kemp)
Learning theories (cognitive learning theory, UDL, andragogy/adult learning, constructivism, behaviorism)

Currently I am working as a Junior Support Analyst for the Biomedical Community of Interest (CoI). I have a strong interest in continuing education and take MOOC classes to supplement my graduate studies. This includes coursework in Social Behavior, Research & Leadership, xAPI, Captivate, Microsoft 365 for Administrators, LMS Cloud, SCORM, Canvas, and Project Management courses.
Past work experience includes teaching English in Peru at La Universidad de Piura, and state side at Columbia College. I have experience with customer service, project management, developing course material, writing web content, website management, HTML coding, and content management systems (CMS).
