Leadership Development

Articulate Storyline

Overview
This is a leadership course based off the Army FM 6-22, Chapter 1, on Leadership Development. This course is appropriate for military, former military, civilians working with military, or contractors who are in difficult leadership positions or transitions. 

Solution
To structure the class, the ADDIE model along with constructivism learning theories and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles are applied. Army regulated documents (FM 6-22) will be adapted to create an online course broken down into classes by chapter or as needed. 

Spanish Bootcamp!

Articulate Rise

Overview
Online language learning community engaging in information sharing without structure. English to Spanish learners struggling with basics of the language.

Solution
Create a quick basic conversational course online to share the fundamentals of Spanish and give the learner an opportunity to read, write, speak, and listen in Spanish. The course will be modeled after the KEMP model and Vygotsky's constructivism such as scaffolding and social learning.

Instructional Strategies for
English Language Learning (ELL)

Articulate Rise 360

Overview
Instructor online training needed for teaching English Language Learning in-person and online.

Solution
Instructors are shown examples of the KEMP and ADDIE model, varying learning theories and instructional strategies. The course includes discussion and application of instructional strategies specifically for ELL. This is reinforced with online post discussions, visual media and engaging activities. Progress is monitored through pre and post survey. 


COVID-19:

Overview
Seasonally updated COVID-19 course for medical students for undergraduate level courses. 

Solution
Use of ADDIE model and cognitive learning theory to reinforce knowledge of the COVID-19 virus and seasonal mutations. This course will include information pulled from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The course contains 4 modules that include a variety of learner engagement activities such as group discussion, creation of protocols and infographics, interactive summative game quizzes, reflective discussion/ group posts (using APA style writing guidelines), competitive leaderboard, and module badge collection.
